May Day is May 1 and as billionaires and right-wing extremists drive our country and world further into crisis, take the May Day Pledge and say no war but class war.
May Day is a celebration of worker power, and this year we plan to demonstrate that power by refusing to go to work, refusing to go to school, and refusing to spend money as we ramp up preparations for a general strike in 2028.
Because we understand that not everyone has the option not to engage in all of these things, we’re asking friends and comrades to sign the pledge if you can commit to withholding at least one of the three – your labor, time, or money.
However you can participate this May Day, do it knowing you’re not alone. And if you really don’t want to be alone, join us at the May Day Workers Over Billionaires rally at 5:30 pm on May 1, 2026 at 115 N Main Ave.
“I am opposing a social order in which it is possible for one man who does absolutely nothing that is useful to amass a fortune of hundreds of millions of dollars, while millions of men and women who work all the days of their lives secure barely enough for a wretched existence.” – Eugene Debs
